The Basic Glazing System consists of glass panels attached to main spanning rafters using extruded aluminum retainers. EPDM glazing strips separate glass from aluminum above and below. Retainers are then wet-sealed in the field with high performance silicone and capped with a finished aluminum extrusion to conceal exterior fasteners.

Our standard tubular extrusion offers greater spanning capacity than the I-Beam. However, the I-Beam offers a more “retro” look when applicable.

Both systems have an internal drainage gutter both at the top of the extrusion, as well as on the bottom and serrations on the top to allow for fasteners to retain the glass. EPDM glazing strips are also slid into the raceways at the top to separate the glass from the aluminum extrusion. Tubular systems utilize internal clips which improve aesthetics.
